Party gone wrong
Last weekend a 16-year-old girl decided while her parents were away on a
weekend holiday to host a party at her home in the Mount Gravatt area.
What she intended to be a small gathering of people she knew, ended up being
more than she expected with people she had never met. This was because she made
the silly mistake of advertising the party on a social media site.Unfortunately for the young girl some of these unexpected visitors took it upon themselves to help themselves and steal a number of expensive items from the family home.
As you can imagine the parents were upset and shocked to return home to find out there daughter had thrown a party overnight and their important valuables, that can’t be replaced, had been stolen.
Police are currently investigating this incident but this is just another timely reminder of how a party can go wrong if not managed correctly.
Police are asking people if considering hosting a party to always be aware who you invite and allow into your home. Follow party safe practices which can be found in the link below.
