Seven Hills area where homes have been broken into as their residents were
mowing or workng in the garden. The most recent incident occurred yesterday afternoon in The Corso, Seven Hills. Investigations appear to indicate that an offender has climbed the side fence and kicked open a back door to gain entry of a house while the resident was mowing in the front yard.
A number of items have been stolen, including a handbag, a sum of cash, and a mobile phone.
Police are reminding all residents to be vigilant when they are out in the yard, particularly when using loud machinery. Keep an eye out for your neighbours, and if you see someone acting suspiciously, contact your local police immediately.
